So what the heck is Freaks N Squeeks? Well, other than the greatest comic ever on the topic of teenage mice, it is many things to many people. Sometimes, it is a soap opera. Sometimes, it is political. Sometimes, it’s weird sci fi. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes its sad. Freaks N Squeeks is a satire of YOUR world with mice. Why mice? Because mice are far easier to dispose of than people.
Primarily, Freaks N Squeeks is experienced from the point of view of the characters below. However, like “The Simpsons,” “Doonesbury,” or some other third thing, there are dozens upon dozens of minor characters that come in and out of focus and support the main cast.
Ginny
Ginny is a smart and articulate teenage girl who leans toward the quieter side as much as she can. She is best friends with Janis, who often gets her into “adventures.” Ginny will often use humor / sarcasm to cope with adversity, but is generally just very nice. She also has a little sister named Janie whom she feels protective of.

Janis
Janis is a smart and articulate teenage girl. She’s Ginny’s best friend and often the instigator of many of their “adventures.” Janis is very politically charged and often tries to change the world, or at least her world, for the better. She also has a cousin named Dixie who is the bane of her existence. Janis left high school a year early to attend college early, where she met and roomed with Molly.

Al
Al is a ten-year-old boy genius. He is always making cool inventions that get him, and others, into various adventures. He was in Ginny and Janis’s class, but when a new principal came in, Al was sent back down to grade school to be with kids his own age. Al landed in Ginny’s little sister, Janie’s, class. Al now typically hangs out with Janie and Janie’s friend, Brittney.

There have been dozens upon dozens of different characters that have popped up over the years. There are easily far to0 many to list them all fairly (and interestingly) here. The most common supporting characters are:
Chuck and Schmoikel:two teenage boys often seen with Ginny.
Pierre and Ted: Pierre is a pet mouse who lives in a cage. Ted is his imaginary friend everyone can see because Pierre has a very active imagination.
Janie: Ginny’s little sister.
Brittney: Janie’s best friend.
Jive: A failed politician and lawyer best known for his righteous ‘fro.
JC: The son of God, the Mousiah. He’s back on earth for his First and a Half Coming, so as to not trigger the apocalypse.
Molly: Janis’s college roommate.
Dixie: Janis’s pop-star cousin.
